Who we are
Ed Wright
Ed is a Master Black Belt with ten years of Sales experience
and 9 years of IT experience while in R&D. He has held key positions throughout his career, including positions as Regional Operations Manager, Lead SCM Engineer, and Professor of Management, before applying his knowledge to the practical issues facing businesses today.
He has been involved with numerous clients including 18 of the Fortune Global 500 companies. The industries he has worked include manufacturing, finance, computers, healthcare, pharmaceutical, security, retail, insurance and adhesives.
As of September 2020, he has conducted 56 waves of Black Belt training (BB), 98 waves of Green Belt training (GB), 23 waves of Lean Master training, 31 waves of Lean Practitioner, and 6 waves of Master Black Belt training. These waves include Lean Six Sigma for Service, Design for Lean Six Sigma Quality by Design, Lean Six Sigma for Manufacturing, Lean Fundamentals, and LSS for Sales and Marketing. Ed is the author or co-author of numerous courses and curriculums including 5 entire Green Belt and Black Belt curriculums, DFSS for Business, LSS for Phama, Lean Fundamentals, Lean Masters, Lean Sensei, LSS for Sales and Marketing, and QbD.
Ed has been the MBB coach on over 600 BB projects and 1,000 GB projects. Though the majority of projects are rather ordinary, a few truly stand out. One project resulted in the creation sales forecasting system that utilized run rates and time series analysis to reduce the error of sales forecasts by 22%. Another collected strategic VOC and segmentation analysis and resulted in a product line restructure with estimated revenue of $265 Million over 5 years, and the creation of a revolutionary product that filled an identified product gap. To date, projects he has coached have a total value approaching $2 Billion!
Larry Ciolek
Larry has over 35 years of Operational Excellence experience across a variety of industries including aerospace, automotive, consumer products, food, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, power generation, mining, insurance, retail, and financial services. He has held positions of increasing authority in product develop-ment, engineering, manufacturing, finance, and administration. Beginning his career in Research and Development, he spent several years as the resident expert in lean enterprise methodologies and Total Quality at his manufacturing location. Larry was trained by Motorola in Six Sigma and became certified as a Black Belt by AlliedSignal (Honeywell). There he developed the Six Sigma Green Belt program and was a manager in product development engineering, responsible for developing the Design for Six Sigma program. While at AlliedSignal, he was also trained in the Toyota Production System by Shingijutsu and TBM Consulting.
Hired by Eastman Kodak to build its Six Sigma program from the ground up, Larry wrote and delivered the Six Sigma curriculum and provided internal consulting services. He holds his Master Black Certification from Six Sigma Academy (SSA & Co,) and is equally capable as a consultant, trainer, and coach to Executives, middle managers, Master Black Belt, Black Belt, and Green Belt candidates. Deployment activities, planning, and project selection assistance are delivered to his clients with professionalism and high performance. Lean and Lean Sigma are also areas of expertise as well as leading Kaizen events. He is thoroughly capable with projects in traditional manufacturing as well as transactional businesses.
Larry has a unique style that focuses on application rather than theory and he delivers in a high energy, fun and interactive manner. He has provided these services to Ford, DuPont, Johnson Controls, IndyMac Bank, Morningstar, Merrill Lynch, Bausch & Lomb, Nestle, Merck, UBS, BP, Alstom, Bosch, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Wyo-Ben, Sabert, and Hudson Bay (Saks 5th avenue), both in the US and internationally.
